DT - Designing bridges

This week the children in year 5 started a short STEM challenge by designing bridges that would bridge across 2 tables. They will be judged on the amount of weight they hold. There was some great collaboration on show and some very creative designs.

Isle of Wight Library Service

 Adam from the Isle of Wight library service came in to introduce the summer reading scheme to the children. The children will need to sign up for the scheme:gadgeteers. There are stickers, games and a gift each time you visit. Each child must read 6 books over the summer.  Once the children have visited three times they will be given a certificate and a medal. All the library asks is that the children write a review of one of the books they have read by 17th September.
