Geography - How trade has changed through history.

 A great lesson today both for using atlases to find countries as well as recapping how to use the index. 






The children then looked at what countries we used to trade with and who we trade with now. Most of the children understood that we obtain our computers and phones from China! 



From there we looked at the different goods we imported both in the Tudor and Victorian era as well as modern day.

 Adam from the Isle of Wight library service came in to introduce the summer reading scheme to the children. The children will need to sign up for the scheme:gadgeteers. There are stickers, games and a gift each time you visit. Each child must read 6 books over the summer.  Once the children have visited three times they will be given a certificate and a medal. All the library asks is that the children write a review of one of the books they have read by 17th September.
