MUSIC - Xylophone lesson
This week, Year 5 revisited the song Portsmouth that the learnt last week, before moving on to learn two new songs. One had a blues feel to it and was called ‘Cee-Dee’s Shoes’ and concentrated on the rhythm but also the notes C and D. They picked this up really quickly, although the singing element was not something we was overly excited by!
We then learnt a song called ‘Fly by Mosquito’, which again had some lyrics to it but we gave that a miss! They picked the tune up brilliantly and followed the music on the board well. We are slowly getting to use the rests properly too!
Here is a video of one class playing a tune.
