PSHE - A World without Judgement

The children have just begun a new topic learning about inclusion, acceptance as well as adults’  and children’s views.

Our first lesson was all about identifying how people are different and unique. First, the children needed to understand what unique meant. From there, they completed a worksheet about different features of a community.

Then they watched a short clip about a new student joining a school. He had two dads, there were two scenarios played for the children to see what would happen if the child was discriminated against and what would happen if the child’s situation was accepted.
As a class we also talked about how easy it is to pick the right answer and the way to conduct ourselves when we watch things on a film but in real life sometimes it isn’t so easy.
