Lo: (apply) what makes a community?

Today we considered what makes a community. To begin with we thought it was just a group of people that liked the same thing but pretty soon we realised that similar interests, views or locations was important too. 

After thinking what makes our class a community, we then went around and collected the signatures of all the individuals that make up our class community.

Isle of Wight Library Service

 Adam from the Isle of Wight library service came in to introduce the summer reading scheme to the children. The children will need to sign up for the scheme:gadgeteers. There are stickers, games and a gift each time you visit. Each child must read 6 books over the summer.  Once the children have visited three times they will be given a certificate and a medal. All the library asks is that the children write a review of one of the books they have read by 17th September.
