COMPUTING - Using Search Tools

In today’s computing, Year 5 have been continuing to learn about databases, understanding how AND and OR operators can be used to search data. We looked at data about passengers on the titanic and used this to answer a variety of questions. We considered how these tools allow us to select specific data from a range.

Isle of Wight Library Service

 Adam from the Isle of Wight library service came in to introduce the summer reading scheme to the children. The children will need to sign up for the scheme:gadgeteers. There are stickers, games and a gift each time you visit. Each child must read 6 books over the summer.  Once the children have visited three times they will be given a certificate and a medal. All the library asks is that the children write a review of one of the books they have read by 17th September.
